| Experience has shown that instruments are much easier to find and to allocate with the help of an instrument management system. Komet has developed a special bur block for this purpose which facilitates the daily work of both dentist and assistant. The required instruments – for example covering an entire treatment sequence – always remain in the same bur block. Like that, the instruments you need are always at hand, leaving you free to fully concentrate on the preparation. Thanks to the well thought-out design of the bur block, the instruments, which are arranged in staggered order, are lifted into a tribune-like, easy-to-access position when the transparent lid is opened. This facilitates the removal of the instruments considerably, even with tweezers or when wearing gloves. Made of thermo-resistant materials such as high-performance plastic and stainless steel, the bur block meets all hygienic requirements of modern instrument storage. For thorough cleaning, the bur block can be completely dismantled and quickly reassembled. The carefully chosen materials lend the bur block constant stability and a long service life. The bur blocks come in two different lid heights to suit the length of the instruments to be stored. A worn lid can be reordered separately and mounted “in one click”. You can choose between several models with different types of bur holes: To insert either just FG instruments or just CA instruments or, as a third option, a combination of both types of instruments. To further improve the organisation in the practice, the bur blocks are now available in blue (e.g. S300), red (e.g. S300R) and green (e.g. S300G). Recommendations for cleaning/sterilization: • The bur block can be disinfected with instruments in place using a mild detergent suitable for rotary instruments, e.g. DC1 for manual or DCTherm for mechanical reprocessing. • Also suitable for cleaning in the ultrasonic bath. • Do not use cleaning tissues impregnated with alcohol. These might lead to micro cracks in the plastic lid. • After manual cleaning, thoroughly rinse off all residues of the disinfecting agent under running water. Dry bur block with instruments in place via air jet. • The bur block can be shrink-wrapped in sterilization foil and sterilized in the autoclave at 134° C at max. 2.3 bar. Not suitable for hot air or chemical sterilization. German utility model 20 2005 000 489 |
